WPS Health Solutions is committed to operating ethically and is overseen by a Board of Directors. The company looks at compliance through an equity lens, recognizes the importance of supplier diversity, and is creating value in how risk is managed and how work is prioritized. On top of all that, it’s also an outstanding place to work, as shown by the awards we won in 2023.

WPS Health Solutions has always been an award-winning ethical company, but 2023 was a foundational year focused on learning and defining what it means to apply an equity lens to policies and why that is important.

WPS has earned a reputation for doing things the right way and is proud to have been recognized externally for workplace excellence. In 2023, we won these awards:

Veterans

An equity focus recognizes the need to eliminate disparities in workplace supports to underserved and underrepresented populations. We apply an equity lens by taking intentional pauses and reflections as we are developing or reviewing policy.

Board of Directors

The WPS Board of Directors has 14 members, including eight men and six women. With experience in a wide variety of disciplines, from medical products and trade publications to military experience and information technology, the Board includes members with diverse backgrounds and business experience.

Local, small, and disadvantaged businesses are vital and valuable to the way WPS Health Solutions does business. We promote and encourage strategic partnerships that help us achieve our mission and goals while supporting the communities in which we do business.

During 2023, we participated in online and in-person events that promoted small and diverse businesses including Marketplace, the State of Wisconsin’s annual supplier diversity conference. We also worked with other organizations that promote small businesses, such as the Wisconsin Procurement Institute, through panels and event attendance.

WPS has a dedicated position focused on engaging with external veterans’ group and programs. The goal is to expand our visibility to veterans and veteran-owned businesses that could fill a role within our organization.

WPS has been able to increase supplier diversity by focusing on small businesses, which now represent more than 30% of our vendor portfolio.

Risk Management

Matters such as data privacy, employment practices, facilities management, new technology adoption, and business continuity planning are addressed in a manner that reflects these priorities. This creates long-term value for the company’s stakeholders and aligns with widely accepted environmental, social, and governance principles.
