WPS opens additional office in southern Illinois

MADISON, Wis.—Sept. 19, 2018—WPS Health Solutions announces the opening of an office in West Frankfort, Illinois, to supplement the company’s Marion office, about 15 miles from West Frankfort.

"WPS added the West Frankfort office to expand our capacity in southern Illinois because of the growth in our government contract work.

We are overwhelmed by the positive reception and outstanding cooperation we have received in West Frankfort. This truly is an example of progress for the region, resulting in an expanded workforce in West Frankfort, as well as additional hiring activity in our Marion office. The city of West Frankfort has been wonderful to work with and very accommodating."

Scott Kowalski, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Sept. 18 with local and state officials on hand to celebrate with WPS employees. The company is leasing 6,000 square feet in the West Frankfort Outlet Mall and completed the interior build-out in about a month.

In September, a total of approximately 50 employees are moving from Marion to West Frankfort. Most are from the WPS Government Health Administrators (GHA) division performing work for Medicare contracts. Others are corporate staff from WPS Image Central who perform optical character recognition (OCR) work for all divisions.

In October, another 20 GHA staff will move from Marion to West Frankfort. Approximately 375 employees are expected to remain in Marion.
