Q: Why did you join the military?
A: My best friend and I joined to earn some extra money to pay for college.
Fun Fact: I graduated from high school on my 18th birthday and left for basic training at Fort Sill, Okla., the very next morning. In the process, I learned the definition of “hurry up and wait”, as it took a whole week for the rest of the recruiting class to arrive before we started training.
